SWaRM
Native Token

Swarm ($SWRM) is an innovative blockchain platform designed to address the challenges of scalability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in the decentralized ecosystem.

SWaRM Native Token

The base, native, or primary token on the SWaRM Network, a Layer 1 Cryptocurrency Blockchain Platform with smart contract functionality, is known as SWRM. SWRM serves several critical functions. Primarily, it acts as a representative value holder both on the individual token level and/or collectively as the entire network of our market cap. Additionally it serves as the medium of exchange for transaction fees, incentivizing network validators or node operators or staking stake holders through a smart contract lease process, together these functions in-cooperation validate transactions. This token therefore inherently underpins the entire economic model of the blockchain, facilitating value transfer and acting as a store of value within the ecosystem. SWRM is used for staking in our leased-proof-of-stake system (LPoS), where holders lock up their tokens to participate in network block validation, governance, or earn additional tokens through staking rewards.

The token also plays a pivotal role in smart contract execution within the decentralized applications that support this, enabling these various DApps to operate. Moreover, it can influence the governance of the blockchain, where holders lease up their tokens to participate in network block validation under node owner policy, to participate directly in governance, or earn additional tokens through rewards or fee earned by node. Essentially, the primary token is integral to the security, operation, and governance of our blockchain network. Although this token exists purely in digital form within the immutable ledger of our cryptocurrency blockchain and ownership transfer protocols, we have created a physical or graphic representation for our human visual and social marketing needs.
